Bambaw vegan floss is a great replacement for nylon floss. It is made from corn-based plastic (PLA). Bioplastic is as strong as traditional plastic, but it is made from renewable resources.

Comes in a stainless steel dispenser you can refill a lifetime. The metal holder is light, convenient to carry and will not break.

Cornstarch-based dental floss is as strong as nylon dental floss, but made from a renewable resource and compostable in industrial compost. To do this, throw the thread in the bio-waste container after use.
